Availability & Reliability

Architected for uptime. Designed for resilience. Built so your firm can rely on Oddr every day.

Oddr has built a highly available architecture for the Oddr Secure Cloud to meet the service availability needs of law firms. From redundant infrastructure to automated backups and real-time health monitoring, the platform is designed to stay operational, recover quickly from disruption, and give your team confidence that the tools they depend on are always there.

High-Availability Architecture

The Oddr Secure Cloud is deployed across multiple Azure availability zones within each selected region, eliminating single points of failure at the infrastructure level. If one availability zone experiences an issue, traffic is routed to healthy zones automatically.

Load balancing distributes network traffic across infrastructure resources to ensure consistent performance even under high demand. Auto-scaling is configured to dynamically adjust compute resources based on workload, so the platform adapts to usage patterns without manual intervention.

Disaster Recovery

In the event of an unexpected disruption, the Oddr Secure Cloud’s disaster recovery capabilities are designed to restore service quickly:

  • Regular, automatic data-storage backups are performed on production databases on a daily basis, including both incremental and full backups.

  • With support staff and data-availability zones in multiple geographic locations, no single location becomes a point of failure.

  • A documented disaster recovery plan defines roles, responsibilities, critical applications, and recovery timeframes based on a business impact analysis.

  • Business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including restoration of backups, are tested at least annually. Issues identified during testing are investigated and remediated.

Health Monitoring & Alerts

Oddr maintains real-time monitoring of platform health using Azure Monitor and Application Insights. Monitoring covers system performance metrics including uptime, CPU utilization, memory, storage, and network traffic.

Alerts are configured for abnormal conditions — such as performance degradation, capacity thresholds, or unexpected errors — and are routed to the operations team for immediate response.

Customers can monitor the real-time operational status of all Oddr services, view historical uptime, and subscribe to email or RSS notifications for incidents and scheduled maintenance through the Oddr Service Status page.

Capacity Management

Capacity management controls are in place to monitor, tune, and project resource usage so that system performance meets expected service levels. The platform leverages Azure’s managed services and auto-scaling capabilities to handle demand fluctuations, and capacity is reviewed as part of regular operational monitoring.

New information systems, upgrades, and infrastructure changes are subject to formal analysis, testing, and approval prior to deployment.

Service Level Commitments

Oddr offers premium, financially-backed SLA options for firms that require a contractual availability commitment. SLA details are documented in the service agreement and can be discussed with your Oddr account team during the contracting process.

FAQ

1. Does the Oddr platform have a single point of failure?
A: No. The platform is deployed across multiple Azure availability zones with redundancy at the infrastructure, application, and database layers.
2. How often are backups performed?
A: Production databases are backed up daily with both incremental and full backup procedures. Backup restoration is tested at least annually.
3. What happens if an Azure data center goes down?
A: The Oddr Secure Cloud is designed to fail over within the region. If a broader regional outage occurs, Oddr has a documented recovery plan to restore service using the secondary region as quickly as possible.
4. Does Oddr test its disaster recovery plan?
A: Yes. Business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including backup restoration, are tested at least annually. Findings are tracked to resolution.
5. Is a financially-backed SLA available?
A: Yes. Oddr offers premium SLA options with financial commitments. Contact your Oddr account team for details.
6. How does Oddr monitor platform health?
A: Oddr uses Azure Monitor and Application Insights for continuous, around-the-clock monitoring of system performance, uptime, and resource utilization. Alerts are configured for abnormal conditions and routed to the operations team for immediate action.
7. Where can I check the current status of Oddr services?
A: (Coming soon) The Oddr Service Status page will provide real-time visibility into platform health, historical uptime, and notifications for scheduled maintenance and incidents. You will be able to subscribe to receive updates via email.
8. Does Oddr freeze releases during year-end?
A: Oddr may observe a change moratorium during the year-end period to ensure platform stability during law firm billing and collections close activities. Details are published in the Oddr Cloud Maintenance Policy.
