Oddr
Sandbox Policy

Defines the purpose, access model, release preview process, and operational limitations of the Oddr Sandbox environment.

Purpose

Oddr provides each customer with a Sandbox environment in addition to their Production environment. The Sandbox environment serves as a preview and validation space where firms can review upcoming platform changes, test configurations, and validate integrations before those changes are promoted to Production.

Sandbox Environment Overview

The Sandbox environment mirrors the Production environment in terms of application functionality and platform version. It is intended for testing and validation purposes and is not designed for production workloads.

Separate from Production

The Sandbox environment operates independently from Production. Changes made in Sandbox do not affect the Production environment, and vice versa.

Release Preview

New releases are deployed to the Sandbox environment on the last Saturday of each month, approximately two weeks before the corresponding Production deployment. This gives firms time to review new features, test workflows, and identify any concerns before the release reaches Production.

Data

The Sandbox environment may contain a subset of representative data for testing purposes. Sandbox data should be treated as non-authoritative. Oddr does not guarantee that Sandbox data mirrors Production data in real time.

Availability

The Sandbox environment is available during normal business operations but is not subject to the same availability SLA as Production. Oddr may take the Sandbox environment offline for maintenance, updates, or troubleshooting with limited advance notice.

Performance

The Sandbox environment may operate with reduced compute and storage resources compared to Production. Performance characteristics observed in Sandbox may not reflect Production performance.

Sandbox Access

Access to the Sandbox environment is available to all licensed users of the Oddr platform. Firm administrators manage user access to Sandbox through the same role-based access controls used for Production.

SSO authentication is supported for Sandbox access using the same identity provider configuration as Production.

Customer Responsibilities

Firms are encouraged to use the Sandbox preview period to validate new features and changes, test any custom configurations or integration workflows, and report concerns or issues to the Oddr team before the Production deployment window.

Feedback submitted during the Sandbox preview period will be reviewed by the Oddr product and engineering teams. In cases where a significant issue is identified, Oddr may delay the Production deployment to address the concern.

Limitations

The Sandbox environment is not intended for production use, load testing, or as a backup for the Production environment. Oddr reserves the right to reset or refresh Sandbox environments as needed for maintenance or release preparation. Oddr will provide advance notice when a Sandbox reset is planned.
